It could be a “Jane Magnolia”. I have mostly heard the name tulip tree, and that it was some kind of magnolia. It does indeed look simalar to the Jane Magnolia.

Peggy, the flower belongs to the magnola family. I have always like playing with the tulip flower. I have more pictures.

I am still trying to catch up too. I was so busy on the blogs, and my forum last week. Plus trying to do some repair on one of my computers that I had to take a break. Do some actual house work, and more clean up from the tornado. I do have lesson 3 printed out and ready to go though. With my feet bothering me, I will be having a lot more fun this week working on my blogs.

I use a number of programs for my art work. Right now the 2 programs I use to the most are Paint Shop Pro, and PhotoImpact. I also use fireworks at times. I have more programs I want to learn also.

That was a picture I took and removed the background. I then added a new background and frame. I did it a few years ago. So I am not sure what program I did it in. lol I am playing around with all sorts of medium right now. As I post more of my art there will be lots of different things.

Thank you for your comments about my art. That picture was taken in Texas at a neighbors house. But I notice that my neighbor here in Arkansas has one in their front yard also. We also have a different kind of Tulip tree in our front yard. I uploaded a picture of it to my computer the other day. But have not had a chance to edit the picture yet.
